Before starting, I would like to welcome you to my website, my personnel archive. Let’s start with the heart of the matter in the form of a short interview to introduce myself…
Why did you create this website in the first place?
Well. To answer you honestly. I created this website to simply keep in memory creations, like my drawings and photography... but also traces of my days and thoughts, like a sort of digital diary. This site is like a personal archive center. It’s also a way to stay away from my phone by occupying myself in a healthy way.
Who are you ?
Im a 21-year-old French student with no job that wear the name Peau d’âne [Donkey skin] on the internet.
Born in the Parisian suburbs, more specifically in the northwest suburb of Paris. The eleventh municipality of Île-de-France and the fourth municipality of Hauts-de-Seine. Largest residential city in the small Parisian suburb. Colombes. But at only 2 years old, I quit the greyish sky to settle under the sun of Occitania. And my heart will stay there. In a small town not far from the pink city [Toulouse!], I would spend all my childhood and adolescence there in an old house--- Excuse me, I’ll stop there or else I will start writing the first chapters of my biography. We’re not here to read an entire book. And the fact that I listen carefully to the soundtrack of Marcel Pagnol’s film, La gloire de mon père, does not help.
To make it short and efficient, I am a university student in a program that I don’t really like, which is about information management in organizations [Don’t ask me how and why I ended up here, I don’t have the answer]. By contrast I am an artist at heart. I love all facets of art, whether niche or mainstream. I am curious and despite being dyslexic yet I like reading complexe books and writing poems [even if it burn my eyes, I love it]. I also, like anyone else, watching horror and fiction movies, but also classic cinema.
How do you describe yourself ?
At first sight I may have the appearance of being young but I have the soul of an old person. I love collecting various things from the past. [Please do not leave me in a charity shop or a thrift store, because I may never return !]
Who is your favorite artist ?
My favorite artist is the one and only, but also the most loved and hated person on Earth... Morrisey. And yes...I know what you’re thinking. This man has changed my life well, in the most beautiful way as well as the saddest, and whether I like it or not. But if you’re really a fan, you know what I’m talking about.
How do you spend your free time ?
Well, I spend most of my time scrolling on TikTok and it makes me sick. That’s why I’m trying to cut myself out of this vicious circle that is rotting us. But otherwise, I draw, I watch strange movies, I read, I write and I listen to The Smiths. That’s what I do most.
What does your perfect Sunday look like ?
A sunny day at the park, somewhere surrounded by nature. Not too hot, not too cold. Just me and the local insects. Reading a book, sketching what I see and writing phrases on my journal while The smiths playing in my ears.
What is your Roman Empire ?
Hell. Not Hell but "L'enfer". Famous cabaret in Montmartre [Paris], founded in 1892. Its facade features magnificent and diabolical sculptures representing the entrails of hell. Hot, isn’t it? But, by my greatest misfortune... It was replaced by a vulgar Monoprix in 1950...[although rather comical]
I don’t have any more inspiration to continue this introduction of myself... what else could I say... Well, I’m a Capricorn, and above all, I love figs and tender dates. I like the smells of old people and dusty things embellished with cigarette ash in charity shops and hypocritical people make me puke.
